In World View

2016

In World View is a looping 3D animation showing objects that rotate around their own axis and orbit around an invisible central point. The 3D models are digital recreations of wooden sculptures that were made using a lathe, which appropriately is also the name of the digital tool used in the 3D modeling software program to perform the operation needed to create the objects. The title In World View also refers back to the software 3DStudio Max in which the piece was made, where one of the modes of moving objects around is called “In World View”.
